This seminar is intended for individuals who are new to the industry or desire a refresher course in controls solutions at a fundamental level.
This program is an introductory course taught through interactive, hands-on labs which cover the basics of electricity, lighting controls and dimming concepts, stand-alone lighting control solutions using Sensor Switch® products, basic networking topics, energy codes, wired and wireless technologies, and networked lighting control solutions using the nLight® platform.

▶ Recognize common lighting control strategies
▶ Describe different dimming technologies
▶ Define basic networking terminology
▶ Program stand-alone Sensor Switch and locally networked nLight solutions
▶ This seminar may qualify for up to 16 professional development hours (PDH).
▶ Professional Development Hour(s) (PDH) estimates are provided as a courtesy to attendees and reflect the actual instructional time they may expect to be included in a virtual instructor-led training.
▶ Criteria for PDH varies widely between organizations, and our statement of PDH hours does not imply their acceptance for credit by any organization. Our PDH estimates are based upon 50-60 minutes of instruction time = 1.0 PDH, a formula accepted by many professional organizations. It is critical for the potential attendee to review the criteria for the organization from which they are seeking credit in order to validate whether or not the organization will accept our training for credit.
▶ Some organizations limit credit to only those topics which are brand agnostic and do not contain marketing content or statements regarding products or services offered by the host. The total number of hours of this type of content is generally referenced by the CEU value shown in Acuity Academy. Although some of the content of the training event may fit this description, it can be expected that a significant portion of the event will concentrate on Acuity Brands products and services. Your host can provide you with an event agenda that will allow you to calculate the number of PDH according to the criteria set forth by the organization from which you are seeking credit.
